About Frank Scutch

More than 40 years of intellectual property experience.

Frank Scutch is a patent attorney and electrical engineer with more than four decades of experience in intellectual property law. Over the course of his career, he has worked on more than 1,000 patent applications involving electrical, electro-mechanical, mechanical, software, and other technologies.

His experience spans virtually every side of the patent process. He began his career as a patent examiner with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, later served as senior intellectual property counsel for Motorola, and has practiced patent and intellectual property law in both large and small law firms as well as in his own private practice.

Frank has also served as an Adjunct Professor of Law, bringing his practical experience in patents and intellectual property into the classroom.

That broad background gives clients the benefit of experience gained from government service, corporate counsel, private practice, and legal education, with a practical focus on protecting inventions and building valuable intellectual property portfolios.
